How the chain works
The prompts are short on purpose. The power comes from running them one after the other, in the same chat.
Prompt 1 gives ChatGPT a clear picture of who you are selling to. Every prompt after that leans on it. So by the time you ask for ads, ChatGPT is not writing for "everyone". It is writing for one person with real worries and real reasons to say no.
Build the buyer persona
Before you write a single ad, tell ChatGPT who it is writing for.
This prompt gives ChatGPT a role (a marketer who studies how people behave), your business, where you are and what you specialise in. That last part matters. "A dental practice" is vague. "A dental practice that specialises in veneers" points at a very different customer.
You are a digital marketer and you specialize in user behavior and research. I want you to create a detailed buyer persona for my dental practice called Miami Dental. I am situated in Miami and I specialize in dental veneers.
You are a digital marketer and you specialize in user behavior and research. I want you to create a detailed buyer persona for my [type of business] called [business name]. I am situated in [city] and I specialize in [your main service or product].
Write five ads for that persona
Now ChatGPT switches roles, from researcher to Facebook ads specialist.
Three things make this prompt work. It gives the ads one goal (fill in a form and book). It gives people a reason to act (a free assessment). And it names a structure, AIDA, so every ad has a beginning, middle and end.
The prompt also asks for the style of Billy Gene Is Marketing, a Facebook advertising company run by Billy Gene Shaw. Naming a style gives ChatGPT a tone to aim for. You can name any marketer whose ads you like.
You are now a Facebook ads specialist. I want you to write five ads for my buyer persona. The goal is to get them to fill in a form and book an appointment, use a free dental assessment as a hook to get them to fill out the form. Use the AIDA framework and create the ads in the style of Billy Gene Is Marketing. Format the output in markdown, including headings, subheadings, and bullet points where necessary.
You are now a Facebook ads specialist. I want you to write five ads for my buyer persona. The goal is to get them to [the one action you want, e.g. fill in a form and book a call]. Use [your free offer, e.g. a free consultation, a free audit, a free sample] as a hook to get them to take that action. Use the AIDA framework and create the ads in the style of [a marketer or brand whose ads you like]. Format the output in markdown, including headings, subheadings, and bullet points where necessary.
Let your customer tear them apart
This is the step most people skip, and it is the one that makes the difference.
You ask ChatGPT to stop being the marketer and become the buyer persona from Prompt 1. Then that "customer" reads your ads and tells you what puts them off. You hear the objections before you spend anything on ads.
I want you to now act as the buyer persona and critique these ads. Give me objections and suggestions as well.
Read these objections closely. They are useful well beyond the ads: on your landing page, in your follow-up messages and on sales calls.
Fix every objection
Four words. ChatGPT already has the ads and the critique, so it knows exactly what to change.
Implement all your suggestions
Want to go further? Run Prompt 3 again on the new ads, then Prompt 4 again. Stop when the critique stops finding anything new.
Turn it into two video scripts
Same persona, same style, same offer. Now for video.
The last line of this prompt is important. Without it, ChatGPT tends to fill the script with camera directions and timings. Asking for the script only gives you clean words you can read straight from a teleprompter.
Using the same style create two, 3-minute video scripts that I can use for 2 videos, strictly give me the script only, and do not include any b roll, timestamps, or scene descriptions.
Four checks before the ads go live
ChatGPT writes fast. You are still the one who publishes.
